What are the origins of jazz music?

What’s the difference between swing and jazz?

Swing is part of jazz but not all jazz is swing. Songs can cross between both categories; especially if it’s rearranged. We have decided to put artists like Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Count Basie, and the likes on the Best of Swing list. Some Jazz songs do not have lyrics or verbiage.
