Bon Jovi Love Songs & Party Hits for a Wedding Playlist

Bon Jovi is an American (New Jersey) rock band. Their first album was released in 1984 under the title Bon Jovi. Their stardom has spanned four decades with hits in each of them.

Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.

Bon Jovi love songs for weddings

While performing in the 80s, they were categorized as an 80s hair band. However, their power ballads soared to the top.

Their love songs have been played through the decades at high school proms and weddings. All of the Bon Jovi songs listed below are wedding-appropriate and perfect for weddings.

You may notice the songs “Bad Medicine” and “You Give Love A Bad Name”. If these songs mean a lot to you, then, by all means, go ahead and play them at your wedding.

For the rest of us, these songs will leave a bad taste in our mouths. Bad Medicine and You Give Love A Bad Name do not really tell the story of a love story song appropriate for a wedding.

  1. You need to read the full lyrics to these songs not just the chorus. I’ll Be There For You is about breaking up and Always is about him being obsessed with her. Not wedding song material at all.

    1. Hi Sherri, thank you for your feedback. The songs selected may not be perfect for every wedding. However, true Bon Jovi fans have selected these two songs for years as their love songs. Couples can review the complete lyrics and make a decision if they want the song to represent their love on their wedding day.

  2. Erm, (You Want To) Make A Memory is all about having a one night stand with an old flame and cheating in the process. Definitely not wedding appropriate! Even if I do love the song.

    1. Hi Heather. Thanks for your feedback. We are in agreement on being a great song. Would there be another Bon Jovi song you would put in its place?
