In 1976, Captain & Tennille recorded “Wedding Song (There Is Love)” for their album Song of Joy.

The group was comprised of tenor Peter Yarrow, baritone Paul Stookey, and contralto Mary Travers. They joined and performed through the 1960 and became widely popular.

In 1970 the trio decides to pursue solo careers. Then, they rejoined in 1981 and performed together until 2009 when Travers passed away from Leukemia.
